I''m going to be screwed when I go back to work next week. I''ve been staying up til 11 or 12, which is unheard of for me. I''ve also been sleeping late. I''m going to HATE getting up at 4:30 on Monday.
I''d like to say night owl because I would much rather do things in the evening than wake up early to do them. Granted, lately on the weekends also, I prefer to get a good amount of sleep and prefer to go to sleep when I''m tired. That''s been before 12am.
The other day I even told my roommate about staying out after 12..."I know it''s Friday, but let''s not get crazy!" Oh dear.
I still don''t think I''m a morning person. But I''m not a "don''t talk to me when I wake up" person.
I saw an interview with Snoop Dogg once and he said, "I am a total morning person. I am always hanging out from like midnight ''til 4 a.m." DH is a total morning person in that regard. He totally is fine getting only 5/6 hours of sleep a night because he would rather stay up until 1/2 a.m. than go to bed at 11 p.m.
I am a night owl, too. The concept of 5 or 6 a.m. scares the holy heck out of me. I hope to never really experience it.
Night owl. I''m of varying levels of alertness during the day but I really perk up after 5pm and I totally get a 2nd wind right when I''m supposed to be going to sleep. It''s really annoying, because I really have no choice but to function as a day person, but I''d be much better living among a society of vampires.
I''m a total night owl. I rarely go to bed before midnight (usually DH and I go to sleep around 1am) and I hate waking up before 9am. I DO get up before 9 when I have to get to work or class early, but I''m cranky in the morning and my mind isn''t as sharp.
No one should be forced to leave their bed until after the sun is up. Businesses shouldn''t open - - except for gas stations, restaurants, and medical facilities - - until the reasonable hour of 9am. IMHO.
And nobody should expect civil conversation from you until at least 8am. And that''s pushing it.
Somewhere in the middle. I get up at 5:00 am each weekday morning to run before heading to work. However, I also tend to like staying up later and hanging out with DH so do not get to bed until at least 11:00. If I absolutely had to choose...I'll get up earlier as I really need my morning run and it does perk me up. Weekends I may sleep in a bit more - anywhere between 8 and 11 depending on how tired I am, what is on the plate that day and when DH gets up.
That is of course, not counting the swaths of time in my life where I got more like 3-4 hours of sleep a night and was both a very late night owl and a very early bird (yeah for the army, and law school!).
DH is more of a night owl - but even he likes hitting the bed at the latest 11-12. He does NOT like to get up as early as I do. He will be alright by about 8 or so, but he takes a while to get moving any earlier than that. Funnily enough, he also used to be in the military and never quite got used to that early morning wake up. Rather than being a night owl or early bird...I think DH is more just interested in a regular eight or so hours of sleep however it comes!
Night owl. I almost failed high school because I was late so much. It was a real struggle to get to class in college and law school if it started before 11. It''s just as hard in the working world. I NEVER got used to waking up early
The world seems like it is built around morning people and I am jealous of them!
