More More More, and other cushion lovers

I saw an old thread about cushions that wouldn''t let me reply to it.

Do I need to pick a cushion with VG/VG over one that is only GD/GD? That''s what one of MMM''s old posts seem to say.

I will pick one with a depth high 50''s to low 60''s and a table that is smaller than the dept, which she suggested. I''ve found that I like the shallower stones.

Hi stone hunter,

I''m no expert on cushions at all but did research them a bit during my hunt. I actually prefer stones that are ex/ex which are few and far between. I''m almost 100% moremoremore''s cushion is an ex/ex. I was planning on purhcasing mine from Bill Pearlman b/c he carries the Daniel K one''s which are all ex/ex but Mark T has also found some winners and I wouldn''t hesitate to work with him either.

OK this is silly but I don''t know how to just search for diamonds on Pearlman''s site!!!

And I don''t see Daniel K listed.

it's not silly cause they aren't listed

. you have to give Bill a call or email and tell him what you want...He also no longer carries Daniel K settings but can still get the stones...

I just did a search and noticed that they are all EX/EX.

WOW the hunt for a diamond is very long and complex

Thanks for answering again. I''ve enjoyed reading your posts in other threads and am thrilled that you''re helping me.

Adding EX/EX to my stone wants does limit me alot!!! But fewer choices mean quicker decisions!

Well, I contacted Solomon Bro about a Henri Daussi cushion cut. I'm not sure that will happen. But I love its really rectangular shape. They didn't have a stone/setting I wanted in stock. I'm not sure it's out there.

Other than that I'm still looking on my own. Last night I set some really specific wants and then today I'm thinking of adding the EX/EX in. Once I contact a vendor I'll know exactly what I want.

I would suggest possibly going ahead and contacting a couple of vendors with your stone requirements, many times stones never even make it to websites so if you have specific qualifications they can be on the lookout and let you know if they have something. good luck....
