Hi all,
I am still on the hunt for my upgrade diamond. Here are two new contenders that seem promising!
I am not sure if this first one is borderline "steep/deep" though...can you please let me know?
1) 1.8 carat AGS ideal cut H SI1
Table: 56.8 %
Depth: 61.8 %
Crown angle: 35.1
Pavilion angle: 40.7
Measurements: 7.78 x 7.83 x 4.82 mm
Stars: 52
LGF %: 80
2) 1.85 carat GIA excellent cut H SI2
Table: 57 %
Depth: 61.3 %
Crown angle: 35
Pavilion angle: 40.6
Measurements: 7.87 x 7.91 x 4.84 mm
Stars: 50
LGF %: 80
Fluor: MEDIUM BLUE
So my thoughts:
Diamond 1 might be a borderline "steep/deep." Even though it is an AGS ideal cut, it does NOT fall in the outline for AGS ideals in the Holloway Cut Adviser. Odd.
Diamond 2 is way cheaper than diamond 1. Diamond 2 has better angles also, and is bigger. However, not sure about the medium blue fluorescence. I would be worried about it going foggy/oily looking in sunlight. Does all medium blue fluor tend to do this?
Thank you for your help!!
