More CADs, I think it's getting there

Some of you may have seen my other threads about me trying to replicate a particular ring and the resulting CADs. Well, the latest set is in. I am curious to see what all of you think with regard to how close this rendering comes to the "inspiration" ring, and if there are notable differences, what is the best way to point them out. By the way, I've been told that the halo stones will in-fact be set at an angle regardless of what is shown in the CADs. That is a slight concern to me since I don't like to guess how a final product will look, but the angling is supposed to be there.

Thanks for any comments.

Please post the inspiration ring for comparison purposes.

I thought I attached those pics in my first post in this thread? Are they not showing up for some reason? If so, I'll just link the pics.

*EDIT* Just in case the photos above are not showing up, here are the links to larger photos of the inspiration ring:

This is what happens when I'm up too late at night, then up too early the next day. I certainly did see the original setting but thought that was your completed ring. All right...shall peer in close to see how they differ (or not).

ETA
The gap between the halo melees seem spready and ponounced in your CAD, whereas it is barely there in the original.
Is the original band of equal thinkness going down the shank or is there any slight taper? Looks like it is the same width for both?
I noticed you went with single prongs instead of the original double prongs?

The large gap between the halo stones and the fact that I would like that gap to be almost non-existent has been reiterated to the vendor time and time again. I have been told that the halo stones are 2.3mm (which is right around the size of where I want to be). But it's more important for me to avoid the gap, so I am not sure why I have not seen a reduction in the dimensions of the halo to bunch up and tighten the halo stones together, or a slight increase in the halo stones to accomplish the same effect.

And the shank has an equal width from the bottom to the top.

The halo looks substantially more circular from the angle of the CADs than the inspiration picture. The cushion shape of the halo of the actual ring was one of the things I liked about it.

I have requested a straight top-view of the rendered ring to compare exactly that aspect and also make sure that (1) the halo stones tuck slightly under the center, and (2) the halo stones extend beyond the halo, providing for a scalloped look. I'll post that rendering as soon as I get it.

I agree. It's almost there!

My advice would be to tilt that halo 20-30%. The original doesn't have the tilt, but the custom one could improve on that with a tilt.

This is what I mean:

Sorry, but I am a little confused. Are you saying to angle the stones or the entire halo. If you are referring to the halo itself, then I probably would not want to do this because the inspiration ring sparked her interest after looking at literally hundreds of halos. So I want to come as close to that as possible with as few alterations as possible.

BTW, I actually do want a little bit of metal visible from the side.

I think it is looking very good, ascari! I would agree with Gypsy's suggestion to slightly angle downwards, the halo - you will be able to view more diamond/less metal that way and it just seems to become a bit more visually appealing with the very slight angle.

Looking goooood!! ;))

Are you referring to a look that is similar to this?

Yes. That's better. With respect to tilt.

I actually requested the addition of a little metal underneath (that rendering was from a previous round of CADs). I know it's a subjective point, but I know what she fell in love with, and I don't want to go looking for something else. Nonetheless, I still appreciate the input.

But getting back to the last set, are there notable differences between the inspiration and the rendering that's worth pointing out?

Thanks

No. I think it's there.
