Monster protugeuse cut rose quartz. Help please?

Here''s another of my favorite stones that has hidden away too long. It is a 12mm rose quartz with a beautiful sleepy appearance. It has a beautiful cut. I''d love some ideas for this that won''t overwhelm.

Ring, I''d expect. I cannot imagine how I would wear it as a pendant or bracelet.

Pretty color and cool cut. You might want to set it with some green stones and diamonds as accents. Emeralds may be too much of a contrast - maybe a lighter green in a similar tone as the pink. Have not thought of a design yet, though.

prong setting with an interesting basket... so it looks simple, but has that added something special. maybe white gold (unplated) or sterling silver?

This was not what I had in mind originally but I came across it and liked it. Look at the top left pink topaz with the bezel. Scatter some green stones and diamonds on the shank:

There''s a cartier ring that has a rose quartz that looks really nice. It''s rose gold, with 4 prongs in the kite orientation, with a tiny diamond on each prong head.

prehnite/green amythest has a sleepy green that would go nicely. But at 12mm, how do you "accent" this boulder?

Rose gold bezel on a plain split shank (of any color). Could be elegant, inexpensive and might even make the stone glow pink

Considering the size, you won''t have much space around it to put any serious decorative elements (unless you''re into rap-style bling

Ooh, I like this one! But I might go for a plain shank instead of a diamond encrusted one since your stone sort of calls that out to me. But the diamond prongs would add a lovely sparkle and accent.

Some accent stones should set off the rose quartz well but I wouldn’t go for something too busy because 12 mm is already very large. Do you think you can comfortably pull that off?

Beautiful. I could see a YG Lotus complementing that nicely. Lotuses tend to set off sleepy glow stones like moonstones well. Plus it wouldn''t add a halo''s worth of finger coverage.

Gorgeous stone! If it were me, I''d probably wear it as a pendant because of its size. If you want to do a ring, I''d suggest a pretty minimalistic setting that doesn''t add any more finger coverage - it already has plenty of that. A lotus would be good for that! While I prefer the lotus with smaller stones, here''s an example of what it looks like with a larger stone (14mm):

Portuguese cuts tend to look very nice in this setting, for that matter.

How about something like whatmeworry's ring set by Wink [that was posted on the bezel thread]? Put those green amethysts in the vertical halo [for lack of a better term], a nice, heavy, simple shank or maybe a scattering of diamonds and some more green on the shank and you're good to go!
