@monarch64
Your avatar, is that a pic you found online or is that your Le Creuset and induction cooktop?
If yes, I have more questions.

I ask because I'm falling in love with induction cooking and fine cookware: Le Creuset and All Clad.

And is that a poor sandwich that got burned?

HI:

Too funny, I just thought the same thing! Is this @monarch64 handiwork? I think she once told me the best grilled cheese was with havarti and kraft singles???

cheers--Sharon

Induction hobs are great!

Got a 2-burner one in my RV, and also two portable ones for my pop up catering events, a single and a double.

DK :))

I bought a portable induction cooktop from Amazon to see if I liked it enough to replace my stove if it goes kaput. It cooks fast. I like certain food krispy just shy of the briquette in the avatar.

I have lots of le creuset but no induction stove. I will get induction next time, although I love gas. Hate the gas oven. though. Heats entire house!

Not Monnie, but I have induction and lots of Le Creuset. I think other than one non-stick skillet, all my cookware is either Le Creuset or Smithy cast iron - both work beautifully on induction (while simultaneously providing an upper body workout :)).

I switched about 18 years ago and I'd never willingly go back to gas.

Adding that my husband would totally eat that poor sandwich.

Do you mind saying which you purchased and if you think it’s good enough that you’d buy it again or a different one?

I'd buy it again and I'm still experimenting with cooking on it.

I have an induction hob (no gas supply to my village & we have to move away from fossil fuel in the UK soon) & also Le Creuset cookware. Absolutely love both & wouldn’t be without.

@Lookinagain, I checked my order history with Amazon and I bought the cooktop 7 months ago for $109 and now without the discount it's priced at nearly $139 (it's made in China).

Thanks for checking for me. I'm just toying with the idea of trying it out for the same reason as you. I have to check my pots and pans too. I have cast iron and enameled cast iron, but I want to check the others that I commonly use. Thanks for checking for me.

edited to say I just looked at I see it at 120.99. Isn't that odd.

Love my induction. But then again, I don't love gas. I do like LC, but don't use it exclusively. Funny this thread should come up, bc I went looking/shopping today to replace some items.

Perfect timing! Also pardon my ignorance, but what fuel is LC?
