Mokume question

My hubby and I have matching Mokume bands, in palladium and silver. I was wondering which color is the palladium and which is the silver? I had always assumed the lighter color was the palladium with streaks of darker silver, but is that right?

Actually, I think the palladium is the darker one. I own both palladium and silver.

I would also agree that the lighter one is the silver... all of my silver pieces (that are not rhodium plated) are very light!!

In hindsight, while the hubby loves his ring, the thing is getting really nicked and dented since he''s rough on his hands!
