I don’t own any but I can see the appeal. I do a lot of colored stone projects which often find their way to preloved market after awhile. Not because I’m unhappy with it but because I’m excited for the next project. Finding the next great stone and designing the next piece becomes more fun than ownin something lol. Some of us are just addicted to the hunt! And I can see moissanites being a good option for people who love translating a vision of a dream ring into real life, who are avid dreamers :p

For ME, if it cannot pass for a diamond 100%, then I am not really interested.

It really can if it’s not too large and it’s the newer ones like forever one by Charles and Colvard. I got the DEF color for the few things I have. I have diamond studs, engagement ring, Eternity, etc. I didn’t want to plunk down a huge amount on fun jewelry so I bought the moissanite for those. I LOVE my bezel 1ctw forever one studs. I’m wearing them now for when I get my hair cut..or when I want to not worry about losing my bigger diamond studs. I highly recommend the round cut. Square cut no way..I can’t speak for the others shapes. I’m waiting to see what lightbox comes out with in white princess cut but most likely will get mined diamonds for those because I had such a bad experience with the square cut moissanite’s cut. Round moissy forever one are beautiful and look real if they’re not too big. Daughter in law has 2ctw studs and they look like diamonds. BTW I’ve never had the oil slick..I clean mine every time I take my jewelry off with a swipe of Windex or a longer soak.

I don't own any moissanite and am woefully uneducated about diamond simulants (is that the correct term?) in general. Years ago I bought an 18K yellow gold pair of asha earrings from JbEG but never wore them as I quickly found out mind clean is real for me. I do plan at some point resetting the 18k yellow gold dangles with a pair of beautiful gemstones but as of now they lay in my safe unworn and unloved.

I don't judge others preferences however and if you love and enjoy moissanite more power to you. The cost is super attractive I have to say and I am looking forward to reading more and learning more and seeing more pics of diamond-like options. More beautiful things to gaze upon here and enjoy. Viva la difference.

They are yum-o, in smaller sizes I can't tell them apart from diamond.
