So I went to a local jeweler last night for two hours and saw their Isee2 machine. It was really quite cool.
However, one of the things I''m looking at for my purchase is the modified round brilliants, like the solasfera, the eighternity, and so forth.
Does anybody know if the Isee2 machine is equipped to handle modified round brilliant cuts, and how they stack up? If the Isee2 machine is only programmed to handle "normal" round brilliant diamonds and not ones with extra facets, then it would be tougher to use the Isee2 machine as a determining factor for a modified round brilliant cut.
And I saw a normal round brilliant that scored a 9.8, and a "hearts on fire" diamond only scored a 9.4, and the difference was noticible (I picked them out without knowing one from the other accurately three times in a row ^_^).
The Isee2 diamonds that are a 9.8 are really quite impressive. I have to say, they''re easilly making the short list.
