Someone put together this chart, and I was wondering if anyone else could flesh it out, with 10 pts, 15 pts, 20 pts etc....
1.0mm is .005ct
1.3mm is .01 ct (1pointer)
1.5mm is .015ct
1.7mm is .02 ct
2.0mm is .03 ct
2.4mm is .05 ct (5pointer)
Was just looking at that chart and I was surprised to see that it lists (at 1 carat) ovals and emerald cuts as having the same spread. Now I''ve been looking at ovals for a little while now and from what I''ve seen ovals have significantly more spread than emeralds.
I looked on James Allen for an emerald and an oval with similar significant stats (carat weight, depth %, table %, and ratio).
The oval has much better spread. The emerald is right in line with that chart though.
