Mixing platinum with white gold??

Is it ok to wear more than one ring together, if one is platinum and the other white gold?

I have the ritani endless love 3 stone ring, and wear it as an anniversary band. After 2 people commented on my "engagement ring" I had to rush and get my matching bands earlier than I had planned! Lol...So, I just ordered two matching eternity bands to wear with it, and because of the price, I went with white gold instead of platinum. Is this ok? I mean, I can''t tell the difference and a few jewelers said that it''s done a lot because of the price. I guess I need some reassurance that this is ok! What do you guys think? Thanks~ Jill

It is fine to do that because the cheap rings will be worn away by the diamond set platinum ring.
The other way round - that is a no no.
A platinum wedding band will wear away an expensive white gold setting.

I think I just really had my heart set on platinum like my ring, but I know the white gold will be just fine.
