Who miraclesrule, come on down!

Freke,

This is what I look like when my hair air dries by itself. My friend made pulled pork sandwiches for dinner last night and had been trying on the diamond studs she got for her granddaughter''s graduation, but they were too small for my fat earlobes, which is a good reason to search for larger studs. I was also practicing taking macro pictures of my friends rings. I started talking resetting on of her "galaxy" rings and making one with a bezel set with pave.....Her husband gave me a look that could kill.
29.gif

Haha, I told him sorry...I have been hanging around a diamond board.
30.gif
I ws trying to get picture of my dancing pants so you could see them, but I just look like a dork because her son didn''t tell me to move back!

Everytime I see pictures of me at my daughters wedding I just cringe. I wish I would have done my own makeup. I even look better in this one taken last night after trying on diamond earrings, and I don''t have any eye shadow on.... sheesh... Thank gawd for ditigal enhancement that I hope they do a lot of on the pro-pics we get.

Oh well, it didn''t load. That''s okay, my earlobes are fat.

Good for you! (Ok, not the sick part) But I''m glad you had fun. DH & I went to see The Phantom last night at the Civic Center.. ahhh.. soo romantic. I love it :)

Oh, I knew that was going to be playing here. That was the show I took my daughter to see when I took her to New York for her 24th birthday. It holds a very special place in our hearts. It is sooooooo romantic. I''m so glad you and your honey got to see it!!

I really wanted to see Les Miserables when I was in New York because I heard it was very romantic too, but didn''t get to before it closed. I did get to see Beauty and the Beast and I thought it was amazing.

I saw "Wciked" at the Civic Center. I love that theatre.

I''m thinking that you and I have very similar hair. Is your fine and thin too? Mine waves exactly like that. I was going to take a pic the other day, but forgot. Now it''s disgusting because FF and I were "playing" tennis and got caught in the rain. Lol.

I will so go to NYC to see Broadway shows with you. How rockin'' would that be?

(Or you know, you can keep your plan of crashing our lovely Vegas wedding too. Because that would be cool. AND FF and I were talking about it the other day, and he is insisting that if we''re going to go to Vegas to get married, then I have to go to Thunder From Down Under...)

Oh yeah, we do have simliar hair. I noticed it right away when I saw your pictures. Now SDL, she doesn''t. She has lush full thickarse head of hair that makes me envious.

I will be in Vegas in September to see "Love" and then again in October for a wedding. Don''t even think I won''t crash your wedding.
19.gif

Ahahahahaha, WEDDING CRASHERS ROCK!!
3.gif
I loved that movie.

Lol. Well you have 2ish years (maybe less! He let it slip that he''s saving $$$ for a specific sparkly purpose
31.gif
today.) to plot...I mean, plan.

9.gif

Noooooooooooooooooooo, I''ll like 50 by then!!
14.gif
I don''t think he will wait that long. Wanna bet!?!?!?!
27.gif

I dunno. What are you willing to wager?

I don''t know that he''ll wait that long either. Well, probably...OMG....only about...8-9 months until a proposal?! That can''t be right?! Where has the time gone?! It seems like yesterday it was a year!!!

I''m thinking October. Middle of because that is when Fall Break is, and apparently nice Vegas weather. 2010 is likely? I want to graduate before getting married. And I gradumacate Dec 2009. And I want to get married in the fall. Plus, we said between 1-2 years between proposal and wedding and if he proposes May 2009, that would mean Oct 2010 would be a year and 5 months after the proposal. Then again, if I can speed this up because of my mom, I will.

When is your birthday?

And where is that booty shot?

Yeah, your Mom. I''m so sorry about her health challenges.
39.gif
I can only give you hugs ... and some laughter.

I mean seriously, who else will plaster her booty all over the internet for free.....just for you Freke!?!?!?!
3.gif

Okay, I was trying to talk to the limo driver, who happens to be a friend. Actually he is very close. We both thought our kids would end up married, but that is a long story and didn''t happen. Anyway, we were on our way to pick up two other girls who I didn''t know and I could hear my niece and my friend clicking away when I realized they were clicking at my booty, so I tried to show them some plumber booty, but all that happened was some muffin top

Personally, I like my Charger Booty better. I got these iron on patches for 50 cents a piece on ebay, and every girl I see at the games is always asking where I bought my pants. I always tell them...."Um, I took them from my daughter". And then they always ask me where she bought the Charger pants. I have to tell them that I ironed on the Charger helmets and they can get them on ebay. I think it''s because the pants have yellow stitching that leads them to think they actually can be bought as Charger Pants. You don''t think this will violate PS rules will it. I would hate to lose my thread by posting these.

I promise, pinky swear, Freke made me do it, and I won''t post any more booty shots. Only bling now.....

If I get kicked off Freke, I swear I will
39.gif
39.gif
39.gif
.

I have my eyes on some bling from WF. I have been really reading all the tutorials and all the threads. I feel like I know all the salespeople from GOG and LM and WF and several other individuals. It''s crazy how much this site educates a person. My daughter has already told her DH....NO MORE DIAMONDS, until you check in with my Mom and she advises us. Huh? I haven''t even gotten my own yet.
23.gif

Oooo....why would you get kicked off? It''s just your butt!!

What are you thinking about getting from WF? Studs? Anything else? When are you going to pick up a amethyst? *hint, hint*....

lol, it is just my butt!

I really, really, want a diamond pendant and studs before I go for any other stone. I absolutely am going to buy a "snowflake" from Richard. I am so in
30.gif
with that cut.

Emerald is our birthstone, but I am not the biggest fan. I mean, I like them. I have a bracelet my daughter once bought me, but I am soooo not a bracelet person. They drive me batty. I don''t even like to wear a watch, and that is the only thing diamond that I own.

Studs. At least .48 each. Preferably leverback drop earrings.
30.gif
30.gif
30.gif
I also want a matching pendant. Once I get that those, I will consider other gem stones. But I really want to buy my own first diamond set. If that goes well, then I want to have a custom ring made....pave peace sign for my middle finger. Call me crazy, but it''s what I want. Instead of flipping people off I like to put my index and middle finger to my lips and then flash them a peace sign. Can you imagine how cool it would be to flash the peace sign with blin?

Oh gawd, Natalie Merchant is on the radio singing the song I used in my best friends going away video....Thank You. It makes me think of her. I miss her. I need to call her and go stay with her for a few days before I go up to Seattle. Dang, I should have though about that before I purchased the direct flights to Seattle. Shoot.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I need to think now. Oh, tomorrow, with any luck...I will be officially divorced.
36.gif
I know that''s wierd to talk about while you are getting married, but you know...for me, it''s a good thing.
41.gif

Really? Did they finally find him or can they do it without him?

And I''m used to talking about divorce. "Hey dad, how''s work?" "Well, you know, it''s all about divorce..."

Guess what? FF told me just now that if I find any ering suitable stones that I should email them to him. How cool is that?! (But that I should make a mention of the fact that I like it for an ering, and not that it''s just another pretty stone-like I do all of the time. Like those snowflake stone. Which he also thought was amazing. First time he''s been enthusiastic about a stone...)

Seriously though, those snowflakes are AMAZING. Richard is going to be cutting a lot of those for PSers soon...

I can''t wait to see your set. How big of a stone for a pendant? (I say a Martini setting!!! But maybe that''s just because of my love of dirty vodka martinis...)

Dude-ette, we need to wager first!! I so feel like I am going to win this one.

Okay, we wager a pair of shoes. NOT CROCS!!
14.gif
I don''t care how bedazzled they might be, I will toss them.
41.gif

I am thinking as close to a carat as possible for my pendant. I do want martini, but then again, I am loving the 4-prong settings too. It''s hard because so many PS''ers have some amazing pieces. I think that straight studs on my earlobes won''t sit straight because of the surgery I had to remove that tumor from my left side. However, if they were big enough, I don''t know that you could tell so much.

I am afraid that leverback drop earrings look better in a princess cut, and I want round, so I am still edumacating myself and looking at pics. I love the snowflake. I mean, really really, love it. I would do a pendant with that bad boy.
36.gif

Ok. Shoes. Price range? And what is your time range that you are figuring he''ll ask?

I love 4 prong settings as well. But I love dirty martinis more.
9.gif
I hate that everyone has so many beautiful pieces. It makes me want everything!

I think that lever backs would be gorgeous with rounds. But guess what else you made me think of? Starset princesses.

I really really love the snowflake too. I''d do a pendant too. Blue. Not silver. I''m getting my silver topaz-the 7.41ct oval-set as a pendant-north south. And then later another oval-on a shorter chain, east west. 4 prongs on both. Anyway, I am already planning on that one-so I don''t really need another silver one you know? And I don''t have any other blue ones planned. Plus, blue is my favorite color. So that makes sense.

And then if I could afford another snowflake, I''d get a smaller one. And make a ring. And be totally decked out in snowflakes.

I think he will propose by Christmas...but definately no later than your birthday. I wouldn''t be surprised if it was even earlier.

Price Range. Well, if we are gonna wager, we gotta go for the goods. >$100 < $150. That ought to be okay with your student budget, but if you get the sticker price on sale, I''m good with it. Hell, you could just toss me a pair you already have, but I would have to buy yours.
2.gif
We wear the same size, so it''s easier for you than me.

I haven''t been able to view a lot of leverback rounds, but I have been searching for nice settings. I wouldn''t be opposed to a tier drop set, but I think I want everyday studs. I would consider a tier drop pendant, but eh, I am still just enjoying the info and looking at everyone elses bling.

I think the blue sapphire snowflakes rock the Casbah!!

Ok. So what if our bets kind of overlap? I''m thinking anywhere from March to September next year. Although with the way he''s been acting, who knows, it could be sooner.

And I''m good with the $100-150. I have sizeable financial aid coming my way.

How would you set your snowflake?

And I''m kind of scared of my FSIL. Her BF has had a 3 stone waiting around for her for I don''t even know how long and they''ve been together for 4 years, living together for 1.5. They have a pretty turbulent relationship sometimes, and go through periods where things are great, and then periods where things are...rotten and they can''t communicate at all. She loves me now, but if I get engaged sooner than she does....could be #ell to pay. Not to mention she''s turning 40 this year and her BF is almost 50. PLUS, she''s talking about eloping to Vegas, not getting all fancy or anything-getting engaged, and then flying to Vegas without any real notice-inviting us-and tying the knot. Then coming home and having a reception. Starting to sound familiar?

32.gif
Now that I think about it--that emotie is totally how I feel....

Jeez, I was so excited I couldn''t even type a readable sentence above.
41.gif

Congratulations, Miracles!!!!!!! I''m so thrilled for you!!!

Congrats lady!!!!!

This is cause for some SERIOUS celebration!!!!

Going back and reading your old thread...I wish you would have asked me for a divorce attorney referral...

Thanks pirate and SDL!! Seriously, nobody should have had to go through what I had to go through just to get divorced when there is no property, you haven''t seen each other in eons and the kid is 28 years old. I still can''t believe everything I had to do...twice. I''m so glad it''s over.

Freke,
It would have been nice to have found a decent lawyer. Although I have to say, this guy did take pity on me when I was in court and offered to do it for free. I didn''t want to feel like I "owed" him anything, and the last attorney that offered to do that for me just wanted to hit on me. So, I let him do it, but said that I would insist on paying...at a reduced rate since I had filed the second set of papers already and did the ex parte petition to the judge to get permission to post the Summons by Publication.

I should never have had to show up in court today with him. This should have been a paper transaction. If I get a bill for his appearance today, I will probably
29.gif
. But I suppose I should pay him a nominal fee anyway, for filing the last set of papers wrong so that I had to attend a default hearing.
20.gif

I''m off to Trader Joe''s. My daughter and her husband....OMG, that''s the first time I typed that. My daughter and her husband are coming over for dinner tonight. I am making them my Fish Taco Salad and I am having Salmon. I have her favorite green beans and asparagus, but I usually don''t eat starches. So, I need to go get something to fill her hubby up. They have a good Risotto that is not hard to make. I know it''s cheating, but I also want to pick up some yogurt and bananas to make a nice fruit dessert. Oh yeah, I will need some more blueberries too. She''s bringing the wine. We plan to have a mini-divorce celebration.
3.gif
3.gif

Sounds like fun! I love salmon. We had salmon and asparagus last night for dinner and I had my sauteed scallops on the side. Right now I have a vegetable (zucchini, yellow squash, tomato, roasted red pepper) medley/brown rice thing going on with breaded (done by hand by yours truly, and using wheat flour) baked chicken strips in the oven. Don''t tell BF it''s semi healthy!

I''m glad you guys are doing something fun. Are you going to get some handshots tonight? Eh? Eh?

And showing up to court for that is stupid. Doesn''t it make you love the law?

YAY!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!

That would be my pleasure. I am free as a bird Mon, Tues and Wed. What''s your calender looking like?
36.gif

When I see that icon, it looks like a pirate and I just want to refer to you...well, let''s say I was going to say " It would be my pleasure, Ms. Treasure...chest"
31.gif
lmao. Sometimes I crack myself up.

Hmmm, I''m easy. I''ll eat just about anywhere. You pick. I don''t get out much, so anywhere would be good with me.

That was pretty jerky of your brother, he clearly needs help.

But your daughter had a ball and that is the most important thing, after all of your hard work towards this day.

Yeah, he needs serious help. I tried once, but like you with your sister, it just doesn''t matter what you wish for with a person. They are going to be who they are going to be. It seems as though I have always had to be the one to support or take care of a family member as long as I can remember. But I am done. Sooooooooo done. I don''t care if I ever see him again, not that I ever saw much of him anyway...unless he needed to borrow money...which he never paid back on time and only after I had to nag him for it. I wonder what conversations he has had with my Mom and StepDad...if at all. Oh well, it was a beautiful wedding and it gives us a good story. She is marrying into a wonderful family with supportive and loving extended family who adore her, and by extension me. I am so grateful for that. My daughter deserves that. My family has always been poor and dysfunctional. Not me. I vowed that I would not be anything like them, and I am not. At least I am independent and self-sufficient.

When is your son''s bar mitzvah?
