This is my first ring project and I am very happy with the result. Special thanks to Arcadian and TL for patiently answering my questions, and of course to Gene for the gorgeous garnet.

The garnet is 1.30ct, 7.2mm x 5.8mm. The color is intense minty green; I was instantly in love with it when I opened the package from Gene. But it is so difficult for me to get the color right on camera!

The ring is more of an experiment. I was debating between a LOGR setting and a Lanbo setting, and it was my DH who ruled out the LOGR setting since it was still too busy for him. I upgraded the gold and diamond, but I would not know how much improvement the upgrade brings. The ring shank is thinner than I thought, but it works out since it makes the garnet stand out. The rose gold does work well with the minty green gem.

So here it is, first the garnet before it becomes a ring:

Woops, the pic size is too big. I will need to resize the rest first.

Thats gorgeous! Things sometimes work out the way they do for the better ;))

Profile of the ring. The gold is well polished and quite shining. I do not know what got reflected in the garnet in the upper picture, but it is not inside the garnet.

I have to show how it glows (or sparkles?) in the dark.

These were taken in incandescent light in my kitchen.

The garnet is really much more beautiful than these pictures can show, but the pictures show the ring pretty well.

Yum !!!! One of my favorites, cool minty green goodness !!!!!!!!!!
That setting really shows off the stone, and it is light and delicate on your finger !

Gorgeous color and garnet. It looks terrific in that setting. Enjoy!

Lovely, delicate feminine ring.

lovely and delicate....thank you for NOT putting a halo on your color stone. your setting makes your color stone the STAR of the show. very attractive on your hand!

I'm so jealous, I love that stone!
It's a gorgeous ring :)

Just for fun. The ring did not want to cooperate when I tried to put it on my orchard.

MoZo, I am also happy that I did not choose halo for this one. It turns out great this way! Thanks for the compliment.

Arcadian, packrat, Shiney, marcy, TL, and MTG, thank you so much for the compliments. The ring is indeed delicate and feminine, and I love every bit of it! The stone is actually very intense; too bad those photos cannot show.

Green has never been my favorite color and I have very very few clothes in green. But this beauty has made green my favorite color in gem so far. I have asked Gene to cut me a Tsavorite and I cannot wait to see it :D

Hope you are not tired of my photos yet. But I cannot take my eyes off it. These photos seem to show the green better.

That's a very pretty setting, and the garnet is gorgeous! :appl:

The garnet is gorgeous! And the setting is so pretty and delicate. Lovely ring!

Your stone/ring is gorgeous!

Oh, it's really beautiful! Stone is super & the setting could not be more perfect for it. What a great job! I'm sure you'll love wearing it for a loooong time -- if you get tired of it in about 100 years, be sure & call me!

That is absolutely gorgeous! I think it might be a new favorite for me.

That ring is gorgeous! the swooping lines are so graceful and delicate and absolutely make the stone the star of the show. What is the setting like? Does it seem sturdy?

Love it! I think I saw that mint garnet on Gene's site and hoped someone here got it so I could see pics.

Truly an extraordinary ring! Gorgeous proportions and lines. The beautiful garnet is showcased wonderfully.

Hmm, Davi, is that a new avatar I see?
