I thought I wanted a princess, but after really looking on here, the Radiant stones may have captured my heart. They are just gorgeous! I think I''d like a 1.5 - 2.0 radiant in a solitaire setting, unless its fancy yellow, then in pave.

Any suggestions on these? Where to shop?

What about fancy colored yellow diamonds?

I just opened a can of worms. Ha. Thanks in advance!

I recently purchased a 3 carat radiant diamond. I looked at many, many stones, over a period of months, prior to selecting my stone. You can''t just go by numbers, you really have to see them. I found that many of the stones I looked at had "dead" spaces in them- they just didn''t have the sparkle I wanted. I originally wanted a rectangle stone, but I just couldn''t find one that I liked. I ended up with one which is almost square (1.07 ratio), and it''s just beautiful.

Many people here will tell you that radiants show color. I had a round diamond, E color, for 20 years. The radiant I just purchased is an I color, and it''s as white to me as the round one I wore for so many years.

I purchased mine through Quest jewelers, which is located in Northern VA, near where I live. Good luck in your search- it may take you some time to find the perfect stone.

Radiants are a good choice my friend and if you look for Yellow diamonds, seach for ones that are certified to be the color of "Intense Fancy Yellow" or Vivid Fancy Yellow.

You can get a hand full of "P" yellow at the mall :)

I love colored diamonds :)
