Hi Ketchup,

This stone has excellent proportions, could be fantastic! An image such as Idealscope would be nice to confirm but those numbers are about as ' safe' as you can get, you could indeed have found the perfect stone!
 
Got email from seller... they claim vendor says the stone has brown hue to it and they dont recomend it.
are they trying to reroute me because they are price matching and discounting this stone because i found it cheaper?
Either way i dont want a brown h colored stone... i must b super picky everything i view localy is garbage.
midas well be looking at rock salt through the loop.

I would pass on that. As for being super picky. You really aren't. You just have an eye for quality. 90% of what is sold is junk out there.

In that case, definitely pass. Good for the seller for alerting you to this, it's a pity but the right diamond is out there.
 
I did have the bgd on hold they removed the hold after 3 days. Wasnt ready to pull the trigger. To many i color stones are not what im looking for. Enchanted has ben nothing but helpful curtious and professional i have faith they will ifind me the perfect stone.
they were never able to send me any vendor pictures etc. Only reason why i thought the sudden brown remark was "iffy"

I have a line on a stone 1.03 rb h vs2 no flour no pics etc. $5000 cdn
is a 2004 gia cert so no cut info. Dunno what to do still looking i guess.

Ask the vendor for a sarin scan.
 
The 1.03 ct is a local kijiji find. The seller dosnt have cut info etc.

Can you take the stone to a local jewelry store and ask them to scan the stone for a fee?
 
The stone is about 15 hrs drive north of my location in thunderbay. The local jeweller says he doesnt have acess to the equipment unless its sent to toronto for apparasial. The selling is in a hurry and only wants $4500 cdn for it.

Seems a decent stone just wish i had cut info. This stone puts 1.0 ct in my price range and i dont need nething more then h or vs2 eyeclean.
im going to call an speak with the jeweller holding the stone because i have a feeling hell b able to judge it better then the seller
 
Can you meet them at an appraiser? Have them run a SARIN and if they have it, an idealscope on it? You'd pay for it.
 
no we live 15 hrs apart. and the seller is on time crunch.....( assuming the ex wants her half)
I spoke to the jeweler holding the stone in thunder bay he is gia cert gemologist and said it was a good stone for the money and he couldn't replace it for the $4500 price. told me hed charge $11k cdn in his b&m. I assume wholesale value is around 6-7k for a stone this size and quality. so if I got it ran my own tests etc. didn't like it couldn't I flip it again for my cost or more?. I know cut is king that's why im holding out on the purchase. but even igi and egl crap over 1 ct. around here is like 8k in b&m store.

also turns out my local guy that's making the setting for me knows the gemologist and can vouche for his word.... lol
should I just wait until my perfect .85 g vs1 xxx in my budget comes along?
 
Can you ask him for a sarin? Ask him what the crown and pavilion angles are.
