Might be a silly question but...

Looked at a diamond yesterday GIA 1.01CT F VS2 when looking at the diamond from the side it looked like there was a line between the girdle and the point. The line went straight across. Could that be an inclusion? a reflection? something else? I would think it would be pretty hard to see such a huge inclusion in a vs 2 diamond. Thanks for your guys time.

Yep, most likely girdle reflection. When I first saw my new stone I had a WTH! moment myself. Doh!

Ask to make sure though.

My sister had one of those ''WTH'' moments when she first got engaged, to the point where she had sent her ring from Kansas to Indiana (where it was purchased) because she thought that the girdle reflection was a crack. It can be a bit unsettling if you don''t know!
