Michelle Trachtenberg has died

I watched her for several seasons on Buffy. She was wonderful in Once More with Feeling - I had no idea she was such a beautiful dancer.

May her memory be a blessing. She was only 39.

I saw that awful news when it came out. I knew her best from Gossip Girl but also remembered her from her childhood role as Harriet the Spy.

Michelle had been a kid actor and as we all are aware now, there have been numerous reports of children being abused in the entertainment industry; I believe she was one of them.

She was reported to have struggled with alcohol issues. She had a liver transplant a little over a year ago. She had also accused Joss Whedon of untoward behavior. Anyone can search for that info; I’m not going to do that and link it here.

Michelle was another victim of the industry that traffics children right in front of our eyes. I hope she’s at peace now.

I read about this. So sad. She was an animal lover. May she RIP and may her memory be a blessing to all those who knew and loved her
