ADVISE PLEASE... I was wondering if anyone had this ring and if they would give some advise as to how well it holds up under daily wear. My soon to be fiance and I went to a jeweler in Ft Lauderdale, FL and was told that it is not a very practical ring for everyday wear. That the diamonds on the bottom of the band and setting would get loose and break\crack. Does any one have any advise or maybe a ring that is very similar without the stones going the whole way around the band?

there are a couple of micheal b 3-sided ring owners here and as far as I know they haven''t had any problems. that said, if you are hard on your rings and would subject them to a lot of wear and tear it would not be a style I''d recommend. Pave rings are beautiful but the tiny beads holding the tiny stones can get banged and bent causing stones to come out. If you don''t mind babying your rings, taking them off when doing yard work, cooking, cleaning etc. they would probably hold up fine. Well done pave, like Michael b shouldn''t just fall out, but they are not made or designed to be handled roughly, the one sided might be a better option.

I have had the Michael B 3 sided pave ring since early 2005 and so far I have no problems. I get it checked every few months by a jeweler (not the one I bought it from) who inspects each stone. That being said, I am somewhat careful with my rings. I put them in the cleaner bath when I'm going to be doing yardwork or construction activities. I have an office job so no dangers there. I have most definitely smacked it a few times on doors, my desk, my nightstand etc. I also have the matching wedding band and love them both.

Thank you for your input. We were just concerned with the durability of the ring. It is nice to know that you have not had any problems. I also just found out that Michael B offer the ring without the stones on the bottom, with a 70% pave band.

Thanks again!

I like that option better anyway because than you can size it a little through the years if you want to.

Another very interesting point that I never thought about...

True... you want something that is going to last and have the option of being resized and still looking great!

I didn''t know they had the 70% option. That''s a good idea for sizing.
