I''ve found on ebay a setting I really like.

However I would want this setting in (ring) in yellow gold. I''m not buying that ring with that diamond it''s just an example. Anyone know if the way that ring is made if it would allow enough light to hit the diamond to reflect quite a bit of brilliance?

I''d like the ring that I have made to weigh a bit more in 14k gold mayve 15 grams total weight. Anyone know how much it would cost to have a ring like that made for a .51 cts stone?

i suspect you are on a limited budget. I am a fan of second hand jewelry. I see rings like that in pawn shops everyday. you could pick up a nice diamond ring for about 500-1000 for a 1/2 carat.

Have you considered buying a loupe, and a urine light, reading renee newman's and antionette matlin's books, learning as much as you can, and then venturing out to see?

the nicest diamond i ever saw was on a gentleman who is a shop clerk at Ben Bridge in the Houston Galleria. He wears a strong blue fluorescent stone that is traffic stopping and way cool. old mine cut.
