What are your thoughts? The wedding is about 5 weeks away and I am ordering/buying my ring within the next week. I want a plain comfort fit 5mm band, but I am not sure what metal will make me happy.

The WG is about $300, the Platinum is about $1200 and the Palladium is somewhere in between, I believe.

I have a desk job and I am outdoors a decent amount, but not every weekend. I don''t mind a little patina on my ring.

I think if the Platinum ring was closer to $600 than $1200 it would be a much easier decision, but it''s harder because the rings look 99% identical in the store.

Any thoughts?

Shouldn''t the palladium be less than gold? The oz price is...

I''d go least expensive. "Store" sounds like you can get whatever you were looking for less expensive online...

It''s Joe Escobar Diamonds - they are quite competitive with even online pricing.

What is your reason for going least expensive, Marty?

I did a quick search and I think you could get a 5mm platinum comfort fit band for between $800 & $900 on eBay. I know a lot of people are leery of buying jewelry there, but since there are no diamonds involved, you should be fine. We bought my ex-husbands band (same as what you''re looking for only 6mm) on eBay back in 2001 and had no issues. We just made sure to have it appriased as soon as we received it to be sure that it was, indeed, platinum.
