In fact, I have been at weddings on every Labor and Memorial Day for the past several years. However, It makes travel more expensive. It is a time when people make other plans (therefore, I find it a bit presumptuous of the couple to assume it will be "more convenient" for guests). And, since I have been more frequently attending weddings of my friends, it means I cannot attend family celebrations (the opposite could also easily be true). Not a fan.

'twas tongue in cheek for the most part![]()
We had certain restrictions when we were planning - no Friday evening weddings in Jewish culture, no Saturday weddings in Hindu culture, and like you are no doubt finding slg there are a very small number of 'convenient' Sundays... but even then, in the end, someone will be happy with the choice and someone will not.

I think with any date, some people will be inconvenienced. However, since most of our guests are traveling, having it on Sunday will allow them to attend the rehearsal dinner if they choose to do so. We will block rooms well in advance for sure.
