Hi everyone,
I have been busily reading this forum for several weeks, while my husband and I picked out a new wedding band to go with my 6 prong tiffany style engagement ring. After shopping around and reading so many recommendations, we decided to purchase a memoire 7 stone band. It arrived today and it is gorgeous! 7 stones, 1 ctw, platinum setting.
The problem is that, as I feared, my 6 prong e-ring sticks out against the memoire band, and the jeweler is predicting that the two will cause wear over time. So, I am wondering if there are other 6 prong settings that might work better? I know that memoire sets the stones low, and the problem is with my e-ring. I''m not sure if I have the terminology right, but the "basket" on the ring is set really low, and the prongs sit low on the band, not on top.
Anyway, does anyone have a recommendation for a 6 prong solitaire e-ring where the prongs sit on top/higher up on the band? I would really prefer a 6 prong instead of a 4 prong to best protect my diamond. Any thoughts would be appreciated. This board is a wonderful source of information!
