The Memoire Purity Collection states that they are made with 99% pure platinum. Would this be sturdy enough? I thought the reason most platinum is 950 is to give the metal durability.
Here''s a link to the rings:

and the link where they state the platinum content:

Here''s a FAQ page about them:

BTW, even though it looks like the stones are far apart, these rings are gorgeous! They appear so much more sparkly than the shared prong ones, which are a sparkle fest to begin with. The blown up picture doesn''t show how petite the ring really is, the bars are tiny.
I emailed with Bill at Pearlman''s - these rings come G / SI but you can upgrade to G / VS. He says the VS upgrade is about 20% more, and not really necessary because the SI stones are definitely eyeclean. He''s going to check some $ for me on Monday as they are closed today. The only ones he has listed on his website are more tcw than I''m interested in.
Any way, I''m just wondering why they would go with the 99% platinum on these?
Also, at the B&M that carries these in our area, she said that Memoire will replace lost stones for life. Anyone know if this is true? I forgot to email Bill at Pearlman''s this question.
