Are diamonds that are between 0.04 to 0.06ct/each (pave setting)small enough to still get in single cut? I read that it is for melee''s under 1mm but I think 0.04 is over 1mm. I am kinda confused

Thanks for any clarification

Hmm. My halo diamonds are 1 pointers (.001 carats) and they are 1.3 mm. And they are single cuts, and just amazing. So, I don''t think that the ''under 1mm'' thing is really a rule, at least it''s not one I''ve ever heard.

But more than anything 4- 6 pointers are quite a bit both larger than 2mm ... let alone 1mm.

I am starting to think the language gap is the problem, lol. I asked him if they were smaller than 1mm and he said yes, small 0.04 to 0.06ct. which doesn't make sense. However, maybe he doesn't know what mm stands for, as English is not his first language. If they were really 0.04 there would be only 33 diamonds on the setting and there is more so oviously somthing isn't right cause I can count more.

these look small enough for single cuts? Soon I am throwing caution into the wind and just going to go buy one.

**Just the setting not the main stone.

Okay so here''s a guideline for reference. MY BAD. I got it wrong. SORRY.

1.0mm is .005ct
1.3mm is .01 ct (1pointer)
1.5mm is .015ct
1.7mm is .02 ct
2.0mm is .03 ct
2.4mm is .05 ct (5pointer)

Yeah, I knew what you meant. It is the setting maker that doesnt make sense to me. Anyways, it isn''t my e-ring, just a fun coloured ring that I am experimenting and making in yellow gold (so may not look like the one I like below anyways.) I wish white gold when with my stone...oh well.

Thanks for help
