A knowledgeable friend sent me this site. I have no idea where to begin in this endeavor. But here goes…IMG_2392.jpeg

My loss ($12,000) is your gain!

I was supposed to get married, but it didn’t work out. But I got to keep the ring!

The diamond:

(Henrietta) was purchased from a diamond dealer in Switzerland at the Miami Beach jewelry show. Very special.

- Vintage/antique cut (old style, few cuts, big sparkle)

- 1.5 carat (but because of shallow shape, it faces up huge! Looks MUCH bigger. See pics)

- 10mm x 7.5mm with shallow table (so it looks BIG)

- Colorless F grade, with SI 1 inclusion rating

- Mounting all around diamond

- High/strong fluorescence in UV light (black light) The ex specifically wanted this. It’s cool!

The ring:

Made by Ben Moses in NYC per the demands of my ex-fiancée. Her family are jewelers.

- Only ONE other ring in the world used this mold (for a princess in the German royal family)

- Totally customized mill grain by hand made it one of a kind (see pics for amazing details)

- 14k white gold with 8 small diamonds (1/4 carat) pave set on sides

- Size: 6

I’m open to offers… but I’m pretty firm on the price. I’ve included the appraisal image ($14,000)

Also, I had the diamond scanned with some new technology at the last jewelry show in Miami Beach (January 2025).

The result was evidence that the diamond is a Type 2a. (See pics) Only 1-2% of natural diamonds are 2a, making Henrietta VERY RARE and special.

Help me move on, buy this beautiful work of art and science, and she will say YES!!

Box included of course!

Please post this for sale on a for sale website (ebay, etsy, etc.) per the policies of the forum. This is a spot on our wider forum to advertise your items for sale elsewhere, sales do not occur here.

Without a lab report, better close up pictures of the diamond showing its faceting, you are unlikely to find a buyer this way. It is also hard to sell a diamond ring without an existing relationship or reputation with your potential buyers. I would strongly recommend that you approach local Diamond vendors to see if they will buy it from you or consign it with a known consignment jeweler. You could also consider auctions. Hope this helps.

yeah... I don't have a report and I have no idea how to get a super closeup of the stone. Thanks for the input. I'm so new to all this! :eek2:

Well if you want someone to give you $10k + then you might need to learn how to do some of these things :read: There are tutorials on this forum about how to take close up pictures of diamonds and there are posts about how to get a lab report and posts about how to sell a diamond, so have fun searching and reading!

I’m assuming the appraisal value is the replacement value, and not what you paid, yes? Most savvy buyers of preloved jewelry will assume so. Appraisal is not to be confused with actual market value.

I really think you're going to need to consign this. I would look at Jewels by Grace (read details of consignment closely).

Reasons for consignment...
- They can get a report on it (Send it to GIA)

I'm trying to say this in the nicest way...(to help you rather than make you feel bad)
You dont really know what you have, and some of the things you're saying don't make sense.

I'm sorry your engagement didn't work out, and wish you all the best in selling your ring!

Plus, any posts on Preloved are not meant for ‘for profit’ sales.
