You folks do realize, don''t you, that each candidate would have to have an advertisement ready for print ahead of time, to satisfy the press (actual printing) requirements. It won''t actually appear until tomorrow. (It was almost certainly leaked.) And what candidate is not going to toot their own horn? I would expect the same from the Obama camp. Why not? It''a campaign! They are going to jump up and down and squeal ''Me, me, me!!''![]()

Yes, I agree, that both will say it, (see my post above!) but McCain''s campaign declared themselves the winner BEFORE the debate took place.Somebody''s getting fired...![]()
No, No; I mean that each of the candidates will say they''ve won the debate (it is subjective after all), and if both campaign managers are doing their jobs, they will have prepared and submitted their ads already to the newspapers. The ''ad'' in question is for The Washington Post; they are a widely circulated morning paper with a pretty early deadline for everything but breaking front page stories, ''cause they can''t wait until the last minute to ''go to press'' (print the paper). I know this stuff because the DH is a newspaper editor. So, the ad may say "I won the debate!", but it''s just an ad that is waiting in the wings for the morning paper. I would expect Obama''s manager to have something (self-congratulatory) ready as well. The campaign managers are going to do everything they can to positive spin their guy, aren''t they? That''s really all this is.
