Greetings.

If u had an OMC about 7.05mm (and GORGEOUS), size 6.75 fingers (long and thin) and were looking for a setting that allows optimal preformance of the stone, protection of the stone, all while creating great finger coverage, what type of setting would you choose?

Would you go minimal? Would you go vintage to set the stone in settings similar to what single stone offers? Would you do intricate and halo it? Or would you bezel it?

Thanks!

Hi Lekde,

As we like to say around here, this thread is worthless without photos!!

Seriously though, I think the answer to your question really depends on your preference. Do you like halos? That is one sure-fire way of adding oomph to your stone. Bezels are great for protecting your stone. Sleek, modern settings offers a nice juxtaposition between the old and the new and of course, setting an antique stone in an antique setting or an antique repro is tantamount to bringing the diamond back home with all its history.

I suggest that you try one different styles and see what looks best on you, and what catches your eye (trust me, you''ll know it the moment you slip it on her finger)! Single Stone offers many styles so perhaps a visit back there to try different looks should be in order?

Good luck with your choice!

Since her fingers are slender and your OMC is pretty large, I''d probably pick something like this:
