I''m looking at different bands right now and keep seeing these terms. Is there a difference between them?

Melanie,

I found the following info for you at this website.

SATIN FINISH: Also known as "Brushed" or "Matte" finish, this is a precious metal texturing technique used on jewelry where a series of very fine parallel lines are scratched on the surface to create a "Matte" texture.

I hope this helps!

It appears as though the simple answer to your question is ... no. No difference.

I found some more info on this website.

BRUSH / SATIN / MATTE - Brushed finish, Satin finish, & Matte finish are finishes of the same. These finishes are texturing techniques used on jewelry metals where a series of tiny parallel lines are scratched on the surface with a wire brush. Though these finishes differ on many different websites, Forever Metals has combined these finishes to represent a single finish with a visible directional texture that is more subdued, metallic with a less reflective look. This finish reflects light differently than the polished finish and is less bright in appearance.

and finally ...

On this website, I found this info ...

Matte: With jewelry which has a matte finish the designer uses either a chemical process or an abrasive material to scratch the top layers of the piece, creating a dull and non-reflective surface. Also referred to as having a "brushed" or "satin" finish.
