Mars One, anyone?

A company in the Netherlands is proposing to send four people to Mars in 2024...forever. This is pretty fascinating to me, but I also feel like here we go again, humans get to ruin another planet. What do you think about it? Would you volunteer to go be part of the first settlement on Mars? There's a video in the link wherein two of the applicants are interviewed, and their thoughts are pretty interesting.
