I've been married for 9 months and just had a baby. While pregnant I developed CT brought on by the pregnancy. :-(. If anyone else has experienced this how long did it take before it went away? I know every case is different but wanted to ask. My swelling has gone down significantly which is great but my rings still don't fit. :-(. Hoping maybe more swelling needs to go away or if my fingers go bigger. :-/

I miss being able to wear them and haven't been able to for a few months now. I'm curious if they'll ever fit again or if Ill have to get them sized bigger.

So sorry to hear that but I imagine that there is nothing but happiness from having your bundle of joy!

I can't give any advice regarding that but what did the doctor say as their idea of what would happen to your fingers? I would also post in the pregnancy/ newborns or CT forums as well since it would be more likely you get to talk to someone who actually went through CT while pregnant.

Oh you poor thing! I had CT with both of my pregnancies. The first pregnancy it wasn't too bad, and it went away basically immediately after delivery. My finger size went back to normal too. The second pregnancy, it was MUCH worse. I had severe pain and tingling starting at about week 27 on. It went away around 3 weeks post partum. My finger size never went back down though. It's about 1.5 sizes bigger than it used to be.

Thanks! The doctor said to give it a month and it should go away but I'm coming up on a month and still numb tingly fingers. :-(. I wear braces but it isn't helping. If it doesn't go away by the time I go back to work in a couple months I might have to see a specialist. Or maybe Ill try acupuncture before surgery.

Post in the newlywed forum? I don't see the other forum you mentioned.

I don't have any advice for you but I hope you are enjoying your new bundle of joy! Hope the CT goes away soon...my BFF has had it since high school from playing viola (and she still does). Not very fun from what she tells me. This is probably the best forum to post in, as it is pretty active (newlywed forum not so much) https://www.pricescope.com/community/forums/family-home-health.18/

So sorry to hear that! My sister had it with her first pregnancy, but no with her subsequent twins, weirdly. I think it took a few weeks after the birth to go, but go it did. I think you just have to wait a little longer, really. Poor you! ((((DiamondsOnly)))))

I meant to also try posting to other forums that might have a better chance of finding more people who were pregnant and had CT while pregnant other than pricescope if you wanted to reach more people who had the same thing happen to them during pregnancy like medical websites. No specific ones in mind, just that you may get more help in those forums than in the jewelery lovers forums/ Pricescope. Just a thought! Not that you need to :) Just wanted to make sure you had as much advice as possible!

Thanks!

I know I need to give it more time I'm just being impatient. :(. I developed this in my third tri and I'm hoping it goes away. Ill be ok with the increase in ring size as long as it goes away. Ill post it in that forum thanks.

Don't forget to constantly check back here too! I'd love to hear experiences and what you found out. It's useful info! The medical websites may be able to give you quicker medical advice but I'm sure there's also other Pricescoper who went through what you did too, just not as many checking Hangout as fast.

Thanks Snowy!

I posted it in family and home and will definitely check back here. :)

Just went thru my jewelry box to clean it out. While doing that I decided to try on all my rings....

Looks like I'm going to have to get them sized, but only the ones I can see myself wearing. I have rings that I haven't worn for quite awhile that I don't foresee wearing anytime soon. This weekend we will be by the jeweler so I can see what size I am now :(and how much it'll cost, but most importantly I need my e-ri g and band sized. I wanted to wait longer since I'm only 5 weeks after having baby, but I don't see my fingers going down any. I'm pretty sure I lost all of the water retention so maybe my fingers just got bigger who knows. I still have the CT and I'm almost positive I will have to see a specialist but will give that more time.

I was 100 lbs when I got pregnant and I'm now 110 lbs. Its all worth it though because I havea beautiful daughter. :)

It took a good 6 months before it completely went away. I had such a terrible time towards the end with the CT. I was able to fit into my rings again even before the CT went away, but it took a long while before I had hand strength and was able to properly close my hands in the morning.

:(

So my fingers are still a bit tingly, but I have another problem which I haven't mentioned. At my 2 week pp c section appt that night I wore the brace and now my wrist hurts really bad. It's right at the wrist and a little before my wrist. :(. I have to be careful because I feel I have strength in this hand. Anyone else experience wrist issues? I'm REALLY hoping this goes away...

I haven't read anything about wrist pain like severe pain so I really think ill have to see someone. :(
