Marquise girdle bruted?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows if Marquise cut diamonds can have a bruted girdle? I understand that nearly always they are polished or faceted, but do some marquise stones have bruted girdles?

I have owned marquise, pear, cushion and oval diamonds with bruted girdles. Not many and hardly in recent years, but they are definitely set in some pieces of jewelry.
