I''m not a fan of the marquise cut, but that is beautiful! Having the stone set east/west really makes that ring unique, but with a RB it would be pretty common (but still beautiful) ring.

Thanks for sharing!

I''ve never been a big fan of the marquise cut but it''s amazing how a simple change can really make it pop. Beautiful.

Not from 1 celeb ring only, for the past few years you could a purchased M/S diamonds on the wholesale market for huge discounts. A lot of strong jewelry Co. stocked up with M/S.

Now its time to HEAVILY promote and to start counting the $$$$

Hi.....

I just found this thread...and can''t resist sharing my E/W Marquise ring.

The diamond is 1.73ct, Light brownish yellow. Mounting: Vintage Deco, Platinum.

Oh, and to add: I recently had the prongs and innards of the mounting changed to YG to enhance the color of the stone..

Wow, these are really pretty.

Widget, that is a lovely ring. How long have you had it? Details, details? I like the use of yellow gold to accentuate colored diamonds.

Thanks, Treysar and Diamondlil! Isn''t it neat? I bought it probably 15 years ago. It was my first vintage Deco piece (I now have a nice collection), and it''s still my favorite!

I particularly like the shape of this marquise...it''s sort of "chubby"

. According to the GIA id report it is 1.73cts, fancy light brownish yellow; 11.82X6.19mm...

It wasn''t until I started hanging out on these diamond forums that I figured out I could enhance the color by changing the mounting to yellow gold. That really helped.
