Hi All,

So I am narrowing down my search for a stone and think I've identified a good value stone for my desired specs, but was hoping you all could chime in as to what you think is market for a stone with the following specs and inclusions:

3.03ct, Triple EX, No fluoro

Table: 58%
Depth: 60.7%
Crown: 34.0
Pavilion: 40.6
Medium to Slightly Thick (Faceted): 3.5%

It scores a 0.7 on the HCA.

I've attached the inclusion map.

I haven't seen it in person but the jeweler, whom I trust, says its eye clean.

What do you think is market? And would you have any reservations about buying the stone?

Thanks so much in advance!

Did you ask if it is eyeclean from the sides? I wouldn't consider any stone especially this large and expensive without a magnified image of the diamond itself and an idealscope image. 34 crown angle goes better with more like a 41 pavilion angle so you have to be certain there isn't leakage.

Hard to value accurately without more information. You can look somewhere like Blue Nile and check the price range of stones with those specs.

In which market? It's a bit less than $45k in the internet market, and possibly as much as $50-55k in the brick & mortar retail market. You might get maybe $15k for it in the resale market. :|

Very true.

Here's an image of the diamond - is this considered "eye clean"?

Eyeclean means at visible without maginification to normal eyesight. As it is not possible for anyone of us on the boards to see the diamond in that manner, we cannot tell you if it is going to be eyeclean. Especially with a black inclusion. We can't help you with that. Only the vendor gemologist holding it in hand could.
