Perhaps you remember me. The guy who was going to buy a 80k round diamond from Blue Nile. Then my wife changed her mind and wanted an emerald cut diamond. I went to BN and several other on line dealers...most listed on Pricescope. Then by chance I watched Mark''s video on Pricescope and decided to give him a try.

The experience was perfect! Yes, I was very nervous wiring him 40+K. I had been scammed on EBAY for 3k two years ago and was very jinky!

Mark was excellent. Communications, trust, truth, etc. He set me on a 2.20 D IF 9.02x6.52x3.98 Excellent Cut Very good symmetry. I set it in a custom made Tiffany style Platinum ring.

I would recommend people consider Mark of they are in the market for a quality diamond at a reasonable price with excellent service.

Regards,
Gary

Great news; so many good reviews w/Mark @ ERD!

My diamond is on the left. Diamond on the right was a D IF but Mark suggested the ratio was too high. I agreed. these are his photos.

I cannot get the finished product to save in small file.

Sorry,
Gary

It''s incredible, what a beautiful stone!! Thanks for sharing your pics!

WOW!!! Congrats on picking a beautiful EC stone. She must be thrilled with it!

I am a fellow EC lover and I am currently looking for a slightly smaller stone (1.00 - 1.15) on a small budget than what you spent (although I WISH) I could afford a stone like yours. What criteria did you follow when lookiing for EC stones? I know quite a bit about diamonds and have been reading a lot on PS about what to look for in an emerald cut but I find the information overwhelming. In the end, I think most of the information mentions that you should ultimately choose an EC by the way it looks which is hard to do online.

Anything you could share with me about your hunt for the stone would be greatly appreciated.

I just went to all the sites I could find on Pricescope or the web.I found the EC with the high ratio (picture...EC on the right), but Mark had a local contact who had the diamond I bought. The GIA was dated April 25, 2007. By the way, the fluorescence is none.

But, I am no expert....many others on this forum are and guided me in the right direction.
