It shouldn''t affect the performance of the diamond in any way if the stone is well cut in the first place. Just like a bezel setting, the light comes in from the top and leaves from the top as well. If the stone is a yucky cut, then it will need "assistance" from light coming through from the pavilion.Date: 4/3/2008 10:27:25 AM
