Does Mark Morell make Tiffany replicas? I heard he has his own collection and then he works with Engagement Rings Direct, is this true? How highly would you guys recommend his work?

He does awesome work I really like his flame setting.
GOG also works with Mark and offers the flame.
If you just want a tiffany knockoff then there are a lot of less expensive options.

Mark doesn''t make replicas. He is an artist and designer in his own right. He has 6 prong settings as storm has mentioned that are amazing. I personally love the Torchiere.

Very high, he''s in a league of his own.

Look at his site and see if you'd like the Flame, Sunburst, or Torchiere. I am quite certain he would not be interested in copying a Tiffany ring. If you want a Mark Morrell ring, get a Mark Morrell design.

totally agree. If you''re going to pay the $$ for a Mark Morrell, get a real Mark Morrell design not a tiffany knock-off from him, not that he''d do it. most of the guys skilled enough to recreate other designer rings, won''t due to ethics as well as copyright infrigements.

I agree as well. Take a look at his site. His signature rings are beautiful.

My e-ring is his Sunburst design, and it is exquisite. His work and presentation are both gorgeous (the ring came in a polished wood box, delivered with white gloves so that FI could take the ring out and look at it without smudging it). I first fell in love with the Tiffany solitaire, which sent me hunting for similar styles. MWM''s work blew me away, and I did everything in my power to make sure FI knew it. He couldn''t find anything he liked more or thought could stand up to MWM''s rings, and so a MWM I got.

Hearing my FI talk about his interactions with Mark, I can tell you now there is absolutely now way he will try and imitate anybody else''s design, especially Tiffany''s.

Since having my e-ring I have walked into Tiffany''s on several occasions to browse wedding rings, and 2 out of 3 trips the sales person commented that they thought my ring might have been one of theirs. Overall, the angle and weight of the prongs are very similar, but MWM''s work definitely has a feel that''s completely his own.

Just to clarify, you are looking for a novo-like ring rather than a tiffany solitaire setting correct? I really think ERD would be perfect for this project, but MM would also create something incredible. However, as others have mentioned he won''t "copy" a design.

I know this is a tacky question, but can someone estimate the cost of a Mark Morrell design like the Torchiere?

I''ve emailed him before but he never got back to me.

i''d guess around 2K, but that''s a guess.
