Margin natural pink diamonds vs natural yellow diamonds

Hello everybody,

why are the margins of pink diamonds higher than yellow ones, although yellow diamonds are more available than pinks ? A jeweler told me, that the ROI is bigger for a pink diamond and that the acquisition price is much more as for a pink diamond.

If I am understanding your question right, it''s just supply and demand. Pinks are highly sought after and less available than yellows, people who have them can set the price. You might want to ask the moderator to move this to rocky talky forum; you would get more answers.
