Skippy, that is too cute that your little nephew wanted your husband to be there for lunch.How sweet that your husband just melts when your nephew asks him for something.Yes, my nephew is 3 and will be 4 in December – is your nephew 2 or 3?Marty is a real sucker for my nephews too and all 3 of them just LOVE him.They are 3, 5 and 7.They live 2 hours from us.One time Marty was off playing golf and I was shopping so I stopped by their house to visit. The little guy gets in the back seat of my car and gets all pouty and said “Marty hasn’t taken me for a ride in your car.”So I offer to take him for a ride but he said no, he wanted Marty to take him. Does your nephew like Thomas the Train? Isn’t it great how kids just love looking through toy catalogs? Kind of like how we love to go through jewelry catalogs.

The full moon is amazing when it’s rising and you are out somewhere really open.I love it.

Thanks Marcy; he will be 3 in Jan. They grow so fast. Ahhhh, how cute; they are still little. I bet they bring you lots of joy and are especially fun to see them open their presents during the holidays. Funny you mention Thomas the Train; I bought him a train set today and it is Thomas. hehe Do your nephews like Thomas the Train? LOL, to us loving Jewelry catalogs. Me thinks PS is a bit better then the catalogs though; I love seeing your jewelry collection!!

hehe, that is funny your nephews wanted Marty to take them; my nephew is the same way. Too cute how much they love Marty; I bet they adore you but it is cool to be with the other boys right now.

Skippy, yes my nephews love Thomas the Train. That is too funny that is what you got your nephew. I do look through the jewelry catalogs I get but don''t generally want anything. PS has certainly tainted me and I generally buy online, or at my fav store in Denver or get something made at a jeweler. It is very cool how the little one''s adore their uncles. They do like me but Marty is certainly one of their favorites. He is tall, has a big red truck and likes to play with toys. I am sure your nephew adores you.

Marcy, I read your post in Rod's thread, hope you don't mind. You will do awesome; it is good to be aware so don't freak out. You are doing awesome and we all know you will be the 3%; I know!!!!

It does sound discouraging when I first found out a long time ago but knowing that means you can fight to be that 3%! My WW leader has kept her weight off 15 yrs. I think the HLT keeps us all accountable and a support group has proven to keep the weight off for most so you are armed woman!!! You are the 3%

Just a thought have you thought of going around and encouraging others? I think you have a great story to tell and you are inspiring to many!!!

Hi Skppy! I don''t mind you reading my post to Rod at all. As I just told him sometimes I just freak out thinking about where I came from and can''t believe where I am now. I truly didn''t find it hard to lose the weight. I didn''t get angry, feel deprived or feel sorry for myself I just continued one day at a time focusing on getting healthy. I guess what makes me pause sometimes is wondering why I was able to do this when so many aren''t able to lose the weight. I know the biggest key for me was my health and I know if I ever gain the weight back my health problems will return. I am truly fine and I really appreciate your support. I am confident I have made the necessary adjustments to my daily routines (food and exercise) that I will continue to lead a healtier lifestyle. Yes, I do think it is a great idea for me to go out and try to help others. I get a lot of emails and comments on my sparkpeople page and have been able to help and inspire many of them. I started a book but haven''t finished it. I think helping others would really help me. I did send out a few articles to magazines, maybe it''s time to submit some more articles. I want others to know that if I did this - they can too. Thanks for being my friend. I truly appreciate it. I haven''t submitted my story to the Today show - I should do that. That would be fun to be on TV. I''d have to go buy some new clothes. Tee hee.

Here is me by an ambulance on Thanksgiving. My niece''s sister had a friend come over to dinner that is an ambulance driver so it was out front of the house. I get so sick when I eat turkey I should go to the hospital so everyone was teasing me they were just prepared to take care of me if I ate turkey this year.

Thank you sweet Linda for thinking of me. I think the cold is just making my cold worse. I am pretty toasty warm right now though, I have on sweats, a long sleve t-shirt and a fleece jacket. Marty was telling me all day I had a coat on and I told him in my mind it was a sweater and it was helping to keep me warm. I am glad you hear you are getting rain; I know you need the moisture. How are you doing my friend? Are you ready for Christmas? What are you getting the grandsons for Christmas.

Linda, I am better tonight but not well. Thank you for asking. I started feeling better after lunch. My breathing is better - I was feeling like I had bronchitis but I''ll see how I do after going to work tomorrow. If it doesn''t get better I will go to the doctor. I know you know how much fun that is to get over.

I heard about the weather out there. 29 is cold for you! Stay warm lady! I wear socks to bed every day even in the summer. Marty is out of town so I cranked up the temperature in here 2 degrees. When we were first married we lived in an old mobile home for a few years. It had very thin walls and poor insulation - I slept with a hat and mittens on most of the time (plus socks). Once we bought our house I quit the hat and mittens but never did go back to sleeping without socks. I am pretty cold most of the time and now more so than before because my insulation is mostly gone. Take care my friend.
