I'd posted earlier in the week confessing my doubts as to the value of super-ideal stones to someone like me who couldn't observe their visual impact over less-than-ideal stones. Mara pointed me to a 1.722 H, SI2 from GOG's "Additional H&A" search engine, but that one is no longer available.
I stumbled across this stone today, and though it's a bit more than I wanted to spend, everything I see looks good. Here are the stats:
Price: $11,357.00
Report: AGS
Shape: Round
Carat: 1.740
Color: H
Clarity: SI1
Depth: 61.6
Table: 56
Girdle: M-
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Culet: None
Fluorescence: Negligible
Measurements: 7.74-7.79X4.78
Does anyone see any red flags? From the reading I've done on GOG's site, I understand that not all AGS0's will be top performers. That's okay with me, as long as it's a very good performer. What do y'all think?
