As a feminist, I am highly offended by pic #2. Not funny. At risk of sounding like a racist(which I'm definitely NOT), I'll keep the rest of my thoughts to myself.

*sigh*... women all over the world are constantly mistreated and killed because their culture allows them to practically be slaves to men. If you've ever worked with a survivor of such abuse, you would see things differently.

Yes I realize that, but for some reason, I think these particular pics were not forms of abuse, just funny situations that happened to be caught on film...sorry, I will try to be more open-minded next time

As for the first one, well, she looks like she wears the pants in the relationship so i'll let that go.

Anyone who is upset by the third one has never worked on a farm.

Lets see its cold out and its a long walk after working the farm all day does she want to walk or ride in the wagon?
Thats a no brainer.

Iv riden in a wagon just like that one so I dont see what the big deal is??

I found these very funny as a juxtaposition of images taken out of context.

We obviously don't really know what's going on. In # 3, it's pretty clear that (as Stormrider says) the guy is giving the women a ride in the cart, which is probably pretty nice of him. #2 looks less than chivalrous, but it could have a harmless explanation. Perhaps he just carried the bundle a couple of miles and she's giving him a break so he can smoke a cigarette without risking setting the hay on fire, for example.

I think they are all funny and as feminists we should all have a sense of humor some of the time.

Oh My !!! Didn't mean to stir up anything. I see it as something being staged. The thought never entered my mind as something real. I would hate to think these are real. I was forwarded this from a customer and I then forwarded to friends, family, etc....They all responded with laughter and suggested that I share it on the forum. Didn't mean to step on any toes.

That's alright Denise, I too thought that they were staged and humerous. Actually they look like they were manipulated by someone using a photoshop type application. In the second photo the shadows don't look right, and their feet are not touching the ground to my eye. Anyway no hard feelings.
