Making progress with my next Leon purchase

Thank you all for your lovely comments - I wasn''t expecting so many given that it''s nowhere near finished yet. It''s going into a plain 3 stone setting with double claws for the center. No pave this time around..........although I would love to have my yellow radiant reset into a halo setting from him. That''s going to take some saving for though!

Just like you, he helped me pick the most perfect sapphire of many that I had looked at. I will have it set by Leon also......... great minds think alike!

The other stone just didn''t speak to me like this one. So I returned it for something else. And look at that - I have a sapphire twin! Although we always did have a lot in common, Ronda! That''s a beautiful stone you picked out - how are you setting it?

That was another poster who asked about windows, but I''m not going to point out who, because that part is irrelevant. While I''m sure Linda loved being called "girl", it has such a youthful tone to it....I''m sure she didn''t appreciate this remark, nor did I. It''s best to have all ones facts straight, including the right poster, before accusing them of something.

Might be nice if you apologized, girl.

I am still contemplating how to set it. I have quite awhile to mull it over.....which gives me time to make sure it is done exactly how I want. No turning back! I can see that you are a true Leon fan as this is your second piece.... and your yellow will be the third!

I think the yellow would be beautiful reset ala Leon. I love elements of your ring... but I see the bullets slanted a little bit with Leon''s Asprey type setting!!! SWOON to all your Leon aquisitions now and in the future

It was weird because I was just reading that same old thread because I was researching what windows were myself as I am in the market for a sapphire.

I recently heard a whole talk radio about how women are guilty of saying hurtful things by prefacing it with "I am not trying to hurt your feelings but..." "Don''t take this the wrong way but..." or "I am not trying to be mean but..." Even if Irish did not take offense I sort of did. That being said I do not want to go bathing suit shopping with ANYONE!!! HAHAHA!!

Wow. I will say it again. It was weird because I was just reading that same old thread because I was researching what windows were myself as I am in the market for a sapphire. I read all of the threads on windows.

I have the curse of a super good memory. I also really enjoyed and appreciated all of Linday W''s posts. I have always appreciated her quest for knowledge and support of all of the members. For your information, I did not say it to hurt Irish''s feelings. As a colored stone lover and collecter I frequent the colored stone thread, we help each other choosing the best possible sapphires available. If you were to frequent that forum you would see for yourself.

Anything that you choose from Leon will be gorgeous no doubt... but here is something to consider....... that setting reminds me alot of your "asschkissering"........

I think a baguette halo would be gorgeous with your yellow!!

That baguette halo ring is a beauty. I've always love Daniel K's all diamond version. I'm just not sure it's what I want for my yellow.

BUT TODAY I HAVE GREAT NEWS!!!! I was totally not expecting this but I just got an email to say my sapphire ring is all done! I cannot believe it! I had no idea it would be done so quickly but it is!! Just gotta mail the check off tomorrow and then the waiting begins: check needs to get there, needs to clear and then I have to wait on USPS as we are stationed overseas. Just might drive me insane.......................

I've asked for a pic or two. Will let you all know if I get some.
