Making claims w/Jewelers Mutual?

Has anyone made a loss/theft/damage claim with Jewelers Mutual? I''m just wondering if they''re as hassle free as they seem when you''re interested in signing up.

I''m asking because Chubb is twice as much as Jewelers Mutual for our rings. I like the flexibility of the cash payment better, but I just can''t justify the cost unless it''s saving me a significant amount of hassle.

I am thinking about using them as well, my jeweler recommended them because they said they replaced with cash payment giving you the flexiblilty to go with whomever you wish to get the replacement? is this not true?

Rosierock: Jewelers Mutual''s policy permits you to work with your preferred jeweler for a replacement or repair. You won''t receive a check from us; instead, we pay the jeweler directly. We offer a repair and replacement policy because it reduces fraudulent claims and helps keep premiums low.

Ahh, thanks for clearing that up, I guess was recommending JM because you have the freedom to pick your jeweler then.
