Maine tourmalines?

Any PSers out there know how to source tourmalines from specific mines? I’ve reached out to the locals, no luck. We have a home near the Newry mine with Eureka blue stones. Alice Blue is still readily available as it’s a newer mine. But for sentimental reasons a 1+ ct stone from the Newry Maine mine is desirable.

I just bought the little guy from the mine down the road!!! Surpringly, there aren’t a lot of these nearby! Might put this up for a candidate for the deco target ring I have been wanting!!!

You could have a chat with John Rhoads at D&J Rare Gems. He has a few Maine Tourmalines and seems to specialise in US stones.

Thank you! They had a huge 8+ct stone that was sold but worth a chat! I feel like I’ve found a new sport - gem collecting.... ugh! I like vacations! Perhaps there’s a way to do both!
