Hello all

When we got engaged 10 yrs ago, my husband shipped my ER to his parents in another state and didn't have to pay sales tax. We've recently upgraded my ER and are thinking of doing this again (it also just so happens that we are moving to another state so we'll be sending it to our new address).

Any reason not to do this??

Thanks in advance!!

Well, it's probably illegal but, other than that, no there's not much to be said against it. It was probably illegal 10 years ago too by the way. Lots of people do it and most seem to get away with it. You can look up the specific rules on your local state reveneurs website. They vary a bit from state to state but most have a fairly prominent discussion about sales and use taxes and how they handle this exact situation.
