Hi all,
After extensive searching, I purchased this diamond:
http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.36-carat-i-color-vs1-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-352135
Based on the proportions, it's very well cut. JamesAllen didn't post the AGS certificate on its website, so I requested it:

My questions are:
-How come such a good diamond has an AGS certificate from 2006? Was it not sold for that long? Or can it be a pre-owned diamond and this was a trade-in or from an estate?
-How come this is the only 1.36 ct. I, VS1, AGS000 diamond selling for less than $10,000? No other website has a similar diamond for less than $10,000. Can it be because it was pre-owned? If so, since when does JamesAllen sell pre-owned diamonds without being upfront about it.
-Regardless of the two points above, what do you guys think of the diamond???
