Low color grade and dark inclusions in small diamonds

Hi everyone!

I'm ordering a DBTY pendant, and I have a couple of questions about the diamond I'm getting for it.

Will a 0.25 ct, I color diamond appear yellowish in a platinum DBTY setting? Do you think you would be able to tell the color at all?

I chose platinum over yellow gold to match my engagement/wedding rings, but I'm rethinking if I should get the yellow gold to hide the warmth in the diamond...

Also, I'm worried that the inclusion would be visible to the naked eye. It looks like a black carbon in the picture, and it's located right in the center. Can anyone see inclusions with naked eyes in small 1/4 ct diamonds like this?

With an ideal cut .25 I color, it will sparkle like crazy and that is what you'll see. It'll look great in a platinum setting. The carbon spot is microscopic in real life. I had an okay-cut diamond of that size with a rather large inclusion across the table and it could only be seen with my loop. With a pendant, nobody will be looking that closely when it's on your neck. If you are concerned, though, you should ask the vendor at what distance the diamond is eye clean.

Regardless of size, with DBTY settings it's important to keep the diamond cleaned because the back rubs against your skin. I carefully scrub the back of my diamond with a baby toothbrush. I don't put it in an ultrasonic cleaner b/c I worry that it may chip the culet.

I think the stone is eye clean considering the size and magnitude that this image was zoomed.

I have a .46ct ideal cut stone with a nearly identical inclusion in the same location (except mine is an SI1) I absolutely cannot see it without magnification no matter how much I try. I really really doubt the inclusion will be visible in yours.

Thank you all so much! I've decided to go with this diamond :)

Please post lots of pics when you get it!! :appl:
