loved the peerless diamond but.....

OK so I am in the market for a diamond but can''t find what I want. I went to Jared''s today, and despite what everyone is saying about them I seemed to like the treatment. I am in love with the peerless diamond but don''t want a 1ct stone nor do I want a 1.5 They told me that if they go over a 1ct that it jumps to a 1.5 nothing in between. Checked white flash and they don''t seem to have anything but 1ct or 2ct. Do you guys have any ideas where to get a diamond like this but a 1.25-1.40? the $14,000 tag on the 1.5 is just insane! Princess cut by the way
 
Thanks for the help guys but I think that I need to find something a little bigger in size. Think that I am looking for 1.40-1.52 If Jareds is asking $14000 for there peerless than what can I expect elsewhere or should I just buy the peerless?

That is really limiting yourself.

And to be honest, in a setting, stones from 1.25-1.5 are not going to look terribly different on the finger. Also, you need to look at diameters, not just carat weight, as that is what tells you how big they face up.

We can''t really say whether you should get the Peerless, as we don''t know anything about the cut. But I would imagine that it''s safe to say, you will get a better cut diamond at a much better price online. That stone Lorelei found is very nice in size, and color/clarity.

But if it''s too much money, the other stones the gals found for you are also nice contenders!

ImpatientOne, brandon wants a Princess cut. Lovely rounds though!
 
I would definitely suggest buying online over buying the Peerless! While it''s true that the Peerless diamonds are very well cut, like any branded superideal such as Hearts on Fire, they command a very high price premium compared to stones of similar cut quality that you can find online. The suggestions posted earlier are all really nice. Any AGS000 princess that you can find online should be just as beautiful as the Peerless, but with a much lower markup. If you''re looking for a branded cut for less, check out WF''s A Cut Above princess stones. I have one and it''s incredible (see my avatar!).
 
I got my princess cut from ExcelDiamonds and it is really wonderful. Here is a very well priced 1.47 but it is an I in color, with a smaller than average table. Have them send you some images to see if you like that look.

ok I need to do business local so that I can trade in my current stone. that being said I just found a 1.52 vs2 color H 6.35x6.23 -4.52

depth 72.6%
table 71%
girdle medium to very thick
culet none

polish excellent
symmetry excellent

fluorescence none

GIA cert


how does something like this sound to you guys? BTW the peerless is a 1.5 vs2 H 6.28X6.23

I would look at this one for $12kish much bigger, cheaper AGS0 princess and hits over the 2ct mark :D if eyeclean that would be my pick :D
