I really like the Louis Vuitton Alma BB purse! It’s the perfect size. I am looking at used ones on Poshmark, consignment shops and Mercari but most are listed for like the SAME price or slightly less than they are new on the LV website. I don’t understand! Can someone help me understand since I’m new to handbags!?

I’m seeing the Alma PM for a lot less becuase they have some signs of wear.

Any insight? Here’s a picture of the BB and PM side by side.

There are SO many LV/Chanel/Hermes etc fakes on these sites, it’s a no-brainer to pay the extra $200 ish and get it from the LV boutique!

I agree it seems so odd that people would buy pre-owned when the discount is so minimal.

Yeah.. I’ve never bought one of these designer bags and thought I’d start with a used one. I just don’t want to pay even close for something that’s used. That seems crazy when they are in stock on the website.

Great choice! I bought a vintage Epi LV Alma PM off of one of the resale sites a few years ago. It's in surprising good condition for being 20+ years old, and I love it.

I'd buy new if there's not substantial savings in purchasing preowned.

I just got an Alma BB about a month ago and I love it. It was sold out online for a while and I think that is why it was listed so high on second hand sites. Definitely buy from LV for a bit extra.
