I have been saving for a long time to be able and get my long time girlfriend a beautifull engagment ring. My budget is $9,000. We went to Jarad the galary of jewlers to look around one day and she really was into the princess cut diamonds. I have been doing extensive research into the 4 C''s and understand them quite well. However I have not paid much attention to specifics of the cut and geometry (ie. Depth %, Table %, etc.) I have been having a hard time with this aspect of the diamond search and could use some help from all you knowledgable people patrolling these forums.

Thank you in advance.

I''d say that you could start by looking into AGS0 princess stones to get a sense for what a well cut princess stone looks like. That''s a great starting point.

Fancy stones (non-round) have a lot more ''variables'' than rounds; they aren''t as readily predictable by the numbers. That said, if you get your feet wet (or your eyes, in this case) by looking at known well-cut princess stones, that will give you a great barometer on where to go from there.
