Loose stone proposal ideas

I am going to propose to my girlfriend and present her with just the loose stone. The process is about the two of us and I would like her to be included in the design.

Any good ideas for how to present the stone? I could just put it in a box but that seems. . .

Presenting diamond in a nice wooden box with black velvet doesn't sound bad at all.

I love the loose stone idea and including her in the ring design process!

I like the nice box idea, but I also think it'd be cute if you gave it to her on a ring, like one made out of aluminum foil or something like that.
